There are approximately half a million people in the Phoenix
neighborhoods who do not have the means to obtain for themselves
medical and dental care. Last year alone we performed 5,076 total medical and dental visits,
prescribed medications, provided on-site, comprehensive laboratory
testing and ultrasound examinations, offered free referrals to
radiology centers for basic X-ray and barium studies as well as to our
volunteer network of over 40 specialists, provided comprehensive
diabetes care, and maintained on-site clinics in dermatology,
gynecology, and chiropractic care. |

Because of the volunteer efforts of our healthcare professionals and interpreters, and the financial donations of others, we are able to provide all of these necessary services at the cost to the uninsured patient of only $20 per visit (actual cost is over $100).
However, the pressing demand for patient care greatly exceeds the current capacity of the clinic. The hard fact is that daily we are forced to turn away families and individuals seeking our care.
